This Town 03:55
The sun sets down on a southern town, And I'm still thinking what if you turn around? Don't make a sound, Just let me hold you again, You want identity just as I, But I remember words spoken well out loud, Take off that shroud, Just show me all that you are Yeah, hold me close, Don't let me go, This town ain't so old, Just tell me once and I won't let you go, You know it's so, This town ain't so old. You try to shake off those homesick blues, You know that time won't heal the deepest wounds, But I know that too, If I could take you back there then I would, You know that each step that we take, that we place, You know that each time that we meet, that we face, It's alway better when we're in here. So yeah, hold me close, Don't let me go, This town ain't so old, Just tell me once and I won't let you go, You know it's so, This town ain't so old. The sun sets down on a southern sea, And I'm still thinking what will you say to me? Just let it be, and take me home again.

Fade away from northern lights, In different countries and different times, Mine is not the only face you'll see, And so I'll ask myself again, Why is it me who's always falling? Well, you're always cutting corners back to me. Once I find myself, Will you be someone else? Why wait for indecision's sake, If indecision is all that waits? Will I erase the lines, Cut every tie that binds, Just to find that you want me to yourself again? Yourself again, My only friend. My only friend lies crying, 'Cause every time she's trying, Far too hard for who he really is, And every false word he ever said, Was every word that I truly meant, But it's just so hard to really say it. Once I find myself, Will you be someone else? Why wait for indecision's sake, If indecision is all that waits? Will I erase the lines, Cut every tie that binds, Just to find that you want me to yourself again? My only friend. I can see it fading, I can see it moving away. But sister, you're not yourself somehow, But sister, I'm done with this town, So where to now? Who to now? So who to now? Where to now?

about

After four years of radio silence from P/R/P/E, two brand new tracks are unveiled via FIR. Both have been written and sculpted during the accidental hiatus, with "Where to Now?" becoming a staple of occasional P/R/P/E live shows throughout. "This Town" meanwhile brings together live drums, a choir of electric guitars, soaring synthesizer riffs and even laminate-stomping to become somewhat of a flagship for the P/R/P/E sound.
